ניסוח מחדש
ניסוח מחדש (Restatement)- שכתוב.
הגדרה: כתיבה מחודשת של משפט או משפטים, באופן שונה, תוך שמירה על הרעיון המרכזי ועל המסר של המשפט המקורי.
בשכתוב יתבצע פעמים רבות שימוש במילים נרדפות, ושינוי סדר הרעיונות במשפט.
שיטת עבודה בפתרון שאלת ניסוח מחדש:

מעבר על כל אחת מהתשובות האפשריות, והצלבה עם המשפט המקורי, בעזרת מעבר על המסיחים:

האם הרעיון המרכזי של המשפט המקורי נשמר במשפט המשוכתב?

האם המשפט המשוכתב מכיל מילים נרדפות?
-
האם סדר הרעיונות עבר שינוי?
-
האם הושמט מידע?
-
האם ניתן מידע עודף?
יש לעבור על כל המסיחים, על מנת לוודא שאכן הבנו את המשפט המשוכתב והרעיון המרכזי של המשפט המקורי נשמר.

באמצעות שיטת האלימינציה, נפסול את 3 האפשרויות הלא נכונות, לפני שנסמן את אפשרות השכתוב הנכונה
הערה: גם אם אנחנו חושבים שמצאנו את התשובה, נמשיך לבדוק גם את שאר האפשרויות, על מנת להיות בטוחים שאנו בוחרים באפשרות השכתוב המדויקת ביותר.

במידה ונמצא שיותר ממשפט משוכתב אחד מתאים, חשוב לזכור שיש רק אופציה אחת שהיא המדויקת ביותר, ולכן נחזור ונצליב בין המשפטים המשוכתבים שאנחנו מתלבטים ביניהם ובין המשפט המקורי, עד שנגיע למשפט המשוכתב בצורה המדויקת ביותר.
